Year 3 Summer

Image
The great Battle of M8 has finally happened. The Brotherhood of the Claw have invaded the peaceful river of the gator folk. The Rats are trying to get into the Gnome mountain kingdom. The Cats are trying to cross the Ogre mountains.

Year 3 Spring

Image
A few battles going down. The joint Hecate/Rat-folk expenditionary force is surrounded by monkeys. The Ogres of the Eastern Mountains say keep the Eastern Montains for the Ogres! The Gnomes don't like their home being used as a motorway for cats. The Rat-folk have also met an enemy. There is a three-way agreement happening in the north east. All retreats.

Year 2 Winter Ambassador Laud

Image
Ambassador Laud humbly suggests he is available (for a small fee) to bring the benefit of his wisdom and expertise in diplomacy and arbitration to Brockaerth. For just 5 BP +1 BP per year, Laud will travel the land and negotiate on your behalf with friends and enemies alike. Two castles built this winter.

Year 2 Autumn

Image
The second battle of N8 is about to go down. The monkeys have taken Orca Island. The forces of the Claw have landed on the eastern coast where a castle has mysteriously appeared. Nim the Magnificent (Tre-Lenda general) has been assassinated by a cat-person. Tre-Lenda withdraw from the field.

Year 2 Summer

Image
In the summer of year 2, the cats defeated the Centaurs, quite comfortably. The monkeys gained a foothold on Orca island in the Western Sea. Something mysterious happened in the Northern Sea, and nothing happened in Hekatesion.

Year 2 Spring

Image
The cat people are expanding their teriroty but they are being resisted by the Wolfmen of the Wolflands, and the People of Acheron. There could be an almighty battle on the border between the Children of Hecate and Tre-Lenda. Remarkable air, land, and sea combined operations are going on with cooperation between the goblins and the Brotherhood of the Claw, but they can't find their enemy. The battle of N8 was bitter and bloody and the two sides basically fought to a stand-still. The Children of Hecate eventually retreated, after slaying a Tre-Lenda general. The cats beat the dogs in the battle of the Wolflands. Can anyone stand in the way of the southern catfolk? Yes, the people of Acheron have stopped the western cat army from advancing. Three scouts still remain in the Mountain Giant castle, at the pleasure of Jarlarl the king of the giants.

Year 1 Autumn

Image
Two battles, this Autumn.  The Battle of the Mists in the Great Northern Sea was a bit of a let-down and nothing much happened. The Battle for O10 was a victory for Tre-Lenda, seeing the forces of Hecate retreat back towards Hekatesion. Winter is just for buying units and castles, but not moving. This winter there is one mercenary group for hire: 5 BPs plus 1 BP upkeep per year. Grimbom Bimbleā€™s Dwarven Ironmongers This unit of elite heavy infantry are massively protected by their full plate armour. They are equipped with halberds, and a decent enough attacking unit, but famous for their staying power. Grimbom Bimble's Dwarven Ironmongers are no longer available.

Year 1 Summer

The battles of Summer have been resolved: The deadline for the autumn turn is Friday Midnight. If anyone is in a potential battle, you will need to mail me asap whether you want to withdraw or fight. I will work out the results of the battles mostly by rolling a d6. Other things you may have heard: Fighter Crows were seen flying towards the Great Northern Sea. The Forest of Portentosa was raided again. The allies of the Children of Hecate seem prepared to fight to defend the alliance. Also Hecateā€™s mob is coining it in through astute trade deals. The nomad Centaurs have returned to the plains of Centraus The Invisible Wizards arenā€™t actually invisible. High Lord Borak is employing black magic. War between Tre-Lenda and Hecate seems inevitable. Yehtees are real. Here are the rough shapes of the various territories and potential points of conflict in Summer Year 1.

Message from Gneville Gneville

This is Gneville Gneville of Gnomgnegnia, All the Spine Mountains belong to the Gnomes. In these increasingly belligerent times we have been forced to close our borders. Anyone infracting upon the territory of the gnomes will be dealt with very harshly indeed. We are currently planning a wall. Gnomgnegnia for the Gnomish! Gneville Gneville

Year 1, Spring

The deadline for the summer move is midnight tomorrow (Tuesday). Olaf the Raider savagely pillaged the coast of Portentosa Forest and killed lots of goblins. They seemed particularly angry about something. Cats have been seen in the southern plains, moving north. The Children of Hecate are on the move. A great ship has been seen in the Great Northern Ocean. It is so big people are saying itā€™s actually a floating castle and not a ship.
